Block CP is the combination of two former student-run organizations at College Park High School - the original Block CP and Sports Leadership.   The original Block CP (a club for those athletes that received their CP letter) served as athletes and leaders who helped with supporting all things athletics at CP.  Block CP disappeared and some years later Sports Leadership was created.  This group of student-athletes helped with setting up the facilities and reporting on sports events for the CP Athletics site.  Due to budget cuts, this amazing program was dissolved.  In 2021, current athletes were inspired to once again raise the level of excitement for College Park Athletics with a new vision ...

In 2022, Block CP will once again resurface with the help of student-athletes at CP, CP Alumni, Parents, and staff from the high school.   Here are the goals for Block CP:

• Coverage of sporting events
• The resurrection of an online student store
• Apparel designed by the students working with individual athletic team needs
• Apparel sold that looks consistent with College Park's current logo
• No longer will Coaches and Team Parents need to stress about creating stores or selling apparel.  We got you!
• Podcasting
• Fundraising
• Organizing the student body through exciting ideas during sporting events (see picture to the right)

Many students are at a point in their lives where they are trying to understand what they want to do for a career.  Block CP will introduce students to fundraising, merchandising, design, communication skills, organization of events, Podcasting, and much, much more.  If your student is looking for something for their college transcripts, what better way than to have them be part of a student-run organization that helps with outreach and support for their community!

CP Apparel (general school spirit wear) will be sold on this site.  Our apparel vendor is Spoken Cloth and all orders will be collected through their site and pick up will be from their store.  All profits from the CP apparel will go back into Block CP to pay for expenses tied to podcasting and running the site.  Block CP will use additional funds raised to help the sports programs pay for awards, uniforms, etc.  Funds are also used toward supplies and activities that enhance overall sporting events at CP (i.e. Smoke Bombs, face paint, food trucks or other). Individual CP Sports Programs can also "house" their Team Stores (via Spoken Cloth) on the Block CP website & profits from those sales goes directly back to the Sport Program!
